QSY & Mimee making bread at home

We Made Bread!!!! Although... yeah, with machine... it tastes good! Yeepee! Flour (full grain) 2cups egg 1 We Made Bread!!!! Although... yeah, with machine... it tastes good! Yeepee! Flour (full grain) 2cups egg 1 botanic oil 20ml milk(general) 200ml It's a simple recipe~ actually I'm not really for food that is too sweet while QSY loves milk chocolate and all the other sweet stuff... So the recipe seems a bit weird... If I was making bread all for myself (which is extremely rare), I'd use full grain flour and no milk or at least low fat milk... maybe a little nuts can be put on it before it starts to bake... Yeah, I'm Chinese, and I bake. The only food I love that is not so healthy is cookies, maybe, pancakes as well...

Secrets of the Art of Candy Making

!±8± Secrets of the Art of Candy Making

Who doesn't love candies? Just the picture and the sound of its name could already bring yummy thoughts to our minds. Candy has always been everybody's favorite. That makes it a staple source of delight in every celebration. Notice how they pump up our Christmas decorations and how they serve well as welcome gifts. That in itself is a living testimony of how well-loved this sweet little thing called candy is throughout the ages.

Candy making is quite an easy and simple process. Common recipes for candy would normally include the following steps: dissolve sugar in water, boil the mixture until it becomes thick and then put it in utensils of different shapes according to your desire. If you want something different you can also use milk instead of water. That way you can give a twist of flavor in your homemade candy.

Most of the time, the ingredients used and the boiling time of the mixture determine the candy's taste and look. As you can see in the market nowadays, candies have different textures. They can be soft, hard, chewy or brittle in texture. Candy recipes also have various categories such as boiled, confection, fudge, praline, truffle, hard, caramel, brittle, prickle and others. If you are the imaginative and creative type, you can even make your own personalized homemade recipe and get different flavors and colors.

On the other hand, when it comes to ingredients used in candy making, the most common ingredients used include: sugar, milk, water, chocolates, nuts and the likes. Candy flavors also vary some of which are: chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, butterscotch and a whole lot more. However, grandmother candy recipes remain to be interestingly popular among all of them.

These grandmother candy recipes include: peanut brittle, chocolate fudge, peanut butter, taffy, Halloween candy, praline and more. These types of candy recipes are affordable and very tasty. Some other recipes available are: candy bars, rock, sucking, cotton candy, candy canes and others. They also come in several flavors and shapes which are all appealing.

As what you have read, there are plenty of candies to choose from. You can either choose the best according to your preference or simply try them all. Who cares about too much sugar and damaged teeth?! Sometimes it is also fun to enjoy the greatest pleasures of the world and candy is just one of them.

Making Pizza - Pat 7 - (final) - The Pizza!

Here we will look at the crispiness of the crust. You could have baked this more. But remember, if the cheese gets too brown on the top, the oil will start to separate from the cheese and it will over cook the vegetables causing them to get soggy and ruin the flavor of the pizza. (hey what do you think I would do at work all day? Research these things hehe). You could have also made a bigger traditional crust in a round pan. You might not need to use all the dough if that is the case. You could have had a bigger dough crust for a more traditional looking crust pizza. Our house doesn't like big crust so we make a very minimal crust as you can see. You defiantly should have more cheese covering the toppings. I was missing 1/3rd of the cheese but I'm glad so you can see how the veggies shrunk right down. To find out where to get your cheese locally might take some work. You might have to go your nearest large city to get a hold of it. To find out where to get cheese near you, please see this website. Then try to get the cheese. If they don't sell it to you, you can ask where you can buy it and they might be able to help. Ask for the HIGHEST fat cheese. In the US it will be called 50/50 cheese. In Canada it will be called 23% or whole milk mozzarella. Here is where you can find your cheese near you. www.pmq.com Or try www.Yellowpages.com or www.Yellowpages.ca if in Canada. One last thing. Remember we do NOT have professional pizza oven so we need to forumulate the whole pizza ...

Bread Maker - Useful Tips on How to Make the Best Bread

!±8± Bread Maker - Useful Tips on How to Make the Best Bread

Buying a bread maker is like a dream come true for all those who want to have a health diet and eat the most delicious home baked bread ever. There are numerous sophisticated products on the market and all of them are designed to make baking extremely easy for you. Still, no matter how technically advanced your machine is, you will need some tips on the types of ingredients you need, how to prepare the appropriate mix and how to store the ingredients. Here are some tricks that will prove to be quite helpful.

It is important to supply yourself with the basic ingredients that you are going to be put in the bread maker. Make sure you buy a special bread flour and not an all purpose one. The former will make your bread fluffier and much lighter as it contains more gluten. Alternatively you can add the substance to the all purpose flour. Also, make sure you are using salad oil and preferably olive oil to ensure your bread will be fluffy and easy to slice. Try to put the exact quantity of yeast as required by the recipe you are using - otherwise the dough may rise too much and become overly aerated. Be careful of the amount of salt and sugar you put inside the bread maker. You should reduce the amount of salt you are using if you add some sort of vegetable juice. A pinch of sugar is usually more than enough unless the particular recipe says something different. You should be extra careful when using the machine for baking dough that contains eggs and/or milk. Always check whether the products are fresh and never leave the mixture for baking later on once it is ready. Those who are not keen on cooking even with the use of such a sophisticated gadget can purchase the special bread mixes sold on the market. These are much easier to work with and are also an excellent option for those who need to undertake emergency baking.

Sometimes the bread does not come out as we would like - it is too flat or doughy in the middle or it is way too small. Again, you have to be precise with the amount of yeast you use to ensure the bread is fluffy. One way to check whether any kind of bake is ready after the specific machine cycle is over is to penetrate the inside with a tooth stick or a thin wooden skewer and take it out. If there is dough sticking on the side, then the bead needs more baking and you can put it in the oven. In order to avoid baking small and hard bread, you should add enough water and oil to the dough and even some extra amounts during the mixing cycle.

Storing the flour well is essential for making tasty and fluffy bread. Make sure you place it in a sealed container away from moisture and heat. The place of storage should not be way too cool either.

If you follow these tips, you can be certain that your bread maker will create wonders.
